Hello everyone...and a good evening to you! I hope that your Wednesday was a good day! What a day this has been for me! Today, I started my day, by going on vacation to the grocery store...at least that's the way I see it; since I am so busy around the office.
Anyways...some of you may or may not know this...but my husband and I are not able to drive, due to our health; so we take the taxi, when we go shopping.
After finishing the shopping today, we had the nicest driver on the way home. He was suggesting another transportation service that might work even better for me; so I wouldn't have to stand around and wait so long...and as we continued our talk; I mentioned that I had been on a tight budget...due to helping a friend overseas. At first, I think he thought that we were just doing a one time thing...until I mentioned that we were picking up the slack and helping him with a monthly budget of support. Wow...did the conversation take over from there, as he was so happy to hear about what we were doing through the ministry.
As we continued our ride home...in and amongst all the detours, due to a lot of construction work; the taxi driver turned to me and said...I'm going to write off your taxi bill. He said that he donates one ride a day to someone charitable and so this time it was my husband and me. After saying that to us...off went the taxi meter. Not only did he do that for us...but he also helped us unload the groceries and then said "God bless," as he took off. After he left...I could feel God all over that blessing...and wow was my heart rejoicing and praising God!
It seems like I have truly seen God at work these past couple of days, as He not only blessed us today, in this way; but also last night, as we had a horrible storm. Lightning was striking the ground everywhere and the trees in the backyard were swirling in the wind...with rain beating on everything. The power almost went off...and just as it began to flicker...I said... "No God"...I need the power for tomorrow's work...and within a second, the lights came back.
This morning...after waking up from the storm...all we found were some tree limbs on the ground; but nothing else wrong. Across the street...a big bull pine had fallen to the ground and uprooted two electricity poles, which took out our neighbors power across the street; but God had truly watched over us...so tonight, I'm here to not only share the day...but to praise God and thank Him, for all the good He has done! I love you Lord...praise your name!!
PS...if you have something to praise God for...write it in the "comment" section; to the left of this post. I'd love to hear about it!
