Letting go of what we think…to listen to what God already knows…

9/29/2020

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your week is off to a great start…and even more, I pray that you will experience the loving presence of God in each day, as you walk through this week…Amen!!
You know…we can find it very easy to lean on our own understanding, while trusting in what we feel is best, rather than what God desires for that specific moment in time. The only bad thing about this; is that leaning on ourselves…and trusting in our own thoughts and ways, can become like two weak crutches…that are just not strong enough to hold us up. In fact…I have found throughout some very difficult times of the past; that when I attempted to lean on my own understanding…and my own ways; then these crutches that I thought would hold me up…only broke beneath me and led me to a fall.
As I’ve been sitting here…preparing to write you today; God led me to a couple Bible verses in Proverbs 3:5-7, which reads… “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
One thing I have come to see within my own life; is that when I attempt to figure a situation out on my own; I only find that this opens up my thoughts to Satan. In other words…while we are thinking about the situation…Satan is filling in the blanks. Yes…the answer may seem well and fine…for the situation we may be facing at the time; but what about the final outcome?  One thing about Satan; is that he is deceptive. In other words…he has a way of making something look right, when deep inside…evil is brewing.
Sometimes I wonder why we choose to invite Jesus into our hearts…only to turn inwardly for the answers to life’s problems. Can we say today that we know what path will keep us going in God’s direction? Can we see where Satan has already laid out the snares before us? Can we say that the path of our own choosing won’t end up taking us off on some detour road? I think we need to stop and ask ourselves this question… “Why would I ever need Jesus in my life, if I already had the answers to my problems?”
Life can be so much easier, if first…we would be willing to let go of what we think…to listen to what God already knows. Remember…God already has the answer to your problem…and all He is waiting for; is for you to connect with Him, rather than yourself and the problem.
How many times are we going to try it on our own…before realizing that our own way doesn’t work? I don’t know about you; but I have no idea, as to how a crooked path can be straightened…one that Satan has demolished, as a means of keeping me away from God.
Now days, it seems as if everyone is going through something…something that just makes life harder to get through. The paths before us can seem out of place, while we face ruts in the road and obstacles in our way. As we look down these roads and see what stands before us; we can either put ourselves through a lot of needless suffering, by attempting to use our own understanding to clear the way before us…or we can look up to a God who can easily straighten the road…fill in the ruts and remove each obstacle. The choice is ours…are we going to acknowledge Him or try to repair something that we truly have no understanding of?
Have a great day…and may we ALWAYS turn to a God of great understanding and wisdom…no matter what we face…and no matter what stands before us…God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
PS…Tomorrow is expected to be a very busy day for me; so I won’t be able to be here on the blog; but I will hope to see you on Thursday…so please come back! God bless…Diane!
