Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I sure hope that your week is off to a good start…and that you will come to see your circumstances in a different light…one that will draw you closer to God…Amen!!
Saturday, I had planned on doing a little decorating in our living room. It’s amazing, as to how a little craft paint and fabric can make a room become something completely different, from what it once was.
Anyways…before even beginning my work, I asked God to come with me; that we may work together and make something beautiful out of this room. The plan for the day included some sit down stencil work, on an older armoire. Originally, it had some moose and trees painted on the doors; but the theme of the room was now going to be red and black buffalo check, along with black bears and pine trees.
What an amazing day it turned out to be; because after completing the project on the armoire and seeing how beautiful it turned out…my eyes began to drift to a place over our front door; where I thought a small shelf would look nice, with a small pine tree and two bears, which I already had; so after finishing the armoire, I began to decorate over the door, with Keith’s help; then I took a small print fabric, of black and red checks and re-did the plain white borders on some of my pictures with that. It seemed like the thoughts and ideas never came to an end. God was truly helping me…and what a great day we had together!
After sitting on the daybed that evening; so my feet could recover from all the work that was accomplished that afternoon, I began to think on the distance God could take us and the strength He could give us, if only we were to place our trust in Him, rather than what may be attempting to keep us down.
Over the years, I have truly come to see that the words “I can’t”…or focusing on where I am with a problem, only blocks the power of God from working in my life. Just think…if I would have done this on Saturday afternoon; then most of what I had accomplished, would not have been done at this time.
I’m learning more and more that God isn’t out to make life difficult; but rather, this is His way of bringing us closer and closer to Him; for the more we need to rely on Him, rather than ourselves…the more we are drawn closer to His presence; so you see…sometimes we have life backwards, by thinking that our problems are limiting us; when all along, we are the ones who are setting up the road blocks and stopping God from helping us. In Matthew 19:26 we read… “But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Now if we look at our circumstances in a worldly way; then I’m sure that we will convince ourselves that we can only go so far; but when we do as I did and let God lead the way, rather than getting in His way; then we can come to truly see that all things are possible with God…no matter what we may be facing at the time.
Today, maybe you are feeling run down by life. Maybe you feel as if this virus, along with other things seems to be slowing you down. May I encourage you today, to not allow these moments in your life to limit the power of God; but rather, take hold of God and let Him lead the way…and let Him show you what can be accomplished during these difficult times you’re facing. One thing I know…when God is leading the way…nothing will be able to block this great and mighty God from working in our lives…Amen!
I pray that as we part ways; that you will truly come to see what God can do…in and through you, even during the worst of times…Amen!
Have a great day & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
