Hello everyone…as you can see…I am back! It’s so good to be with you again…and no matter what time of the day you read this…I truly pray that you are feeling and experiencing the powerful presence of God in your day…Amen!!
While I’ve been away from the ministry for a few days…I not only got a little more rest; but I also spent some great time alone with God. One thing I’ve learned over time; is that when life seems to put me in a rut…the best One to help me out of that rut is Jesus; and today, I thank and praise Him, for the moments we have shared together!
Lately, I have not only been experiencing a lot of pain and exhaustion; but I have also had some questions, as to where God may be leading me in my life. As I poured my heart out before Him the other night, this is what He shared heart to heart with me… “Open yourself up to the truth…not the lie.” After He placed these words upon my heart, I couldn’t quite see what He was trying to convey to me, until He continued with these thoughts… “Don’t let the evil one convince you of defeat; but be lifted up in me…for what Satan has attempted to take you down with; I will use it to build you up and make you even stronger than before.” Instantly…I began to see, where I had been headed. For so many years of my life, it seemed as though I had been dealing with one thing after another; and now…more pain. You know it’s so easy after a while, to feel as though your plate is so full of affliction; that it just may be leading you to a place of defeat…and that is where I was headed. What I praise God for today; is that He saw where Satan was attempting to take me…and He stepped in…took me away from the work…and instead, He worked directly with my heart…to get me back on course, while allowing me to see what was truly happening within my life. Now that’s a loving and very caring God!
After discovering where I had been headed…through all the pain and exhaustion; I now was questioning God, as to where we were going to go from here. In other words…now that I was back on track with my life…what would we do next, to help and encourage others, who face similar situations.
As I continued to seek God and open up myself to Him…I came to see that most of the people, who visit the website, were coming between 1:00 am and 10:00am. In other words…this was the time, when people may not be sleeping, due to whatever they are facing; so with God’s help, I have decided to sit in my evenings and write…and then I will set a timer on the blog, which will allow it to be posted during the night. Even if you aren’t awake at this time…you will also be able to read my blog post the following day; so in this way, it will probably help everyone to have a chance to read the blog, at a time, when they could use these words the most.
Also…the title of the blog… “Writing thru Affliction” will remain the same; but I have been feeling lately; that it would be nice to use the blog as a diary...one that will allow me to share the up’s and down’s of my day with the reader, as a means of encouragement. I don’t know what it is…but I just love writing in the evening. I guess that for one thing…it’s quieter and more relaxing…and my time with God seems to be even more special, near the end of my day…so I hope that you will come and join me, as you are able.
You know…one thing I’ve learned, through a lifetime of affliction; is that when we let go of ourselves and our own so-called power and ability; then this makes room for God’s power and ability to take over…and this is what I’ve been reminded of the most…these past few days.
As you walk through your day…remember one thing…God may be allowing an affliction into your life, for a reason that’s unknown to you; but He also has control over these moments of affliction…and with the control stick in hand, He will never allow these moments of affliction to defeat you…Amen!!
No matter what you’re facing right now, may I encourage you to not get caught up in it? I have truly learned that it’s so easy to become sidetracked in life…and it’s also so easy for us to become caught up in the cares of this life; that before we realize it…Satan is attempting to convince us; that these hard and difficult times will lead us to defeat. Every day of our lives, we need to remain close to Jesus…and know in our hearts; that no matter what He allows into our lives…He does have control…and I praise Him for this hope He’s given me right now!
I truly pray that your day will be one that is surrounded by the presence of God, rather than the presence of a problem…and may you truly find; that by trusting God…that this alone will lead you to a path of truth…a truth that can keep you free, from the bondage that Satan longs to place us all in.
Have a great day…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
Many…many blessings on your day!
