Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your day has been going well…and I pray even more that you will ALWAYS have the strength through almighty God, to continue on each day…Amen!!
You know…I have come to see many times throughout my life, as to how difficult it can sometimes be to continue on. As I live with pain most everyday…and a tiredness that stems from that pain, there can be times when I could easily want to give up; but one thing I have truly come to see over my lifetime; is that giving up never takes us anywhere…but instead, it only keeps us weak and where we may be at the moment.
I think one thing that leads us to giving up; is that we are not always seeing clearly, as to what giving up entails. At the time, we seem to see that giving up is the easiest way out; but in the long run…giving up only prolongs what we are facing at the time.
There is one thing that God has truly taught me…and that is to never judge the moment, by what stands before me; but instead, I should wait to see what is up ahead first. Isn’t it amazing, as to how we grow impatient with what we are facing at the time; that we actually forget that we just haven’t reached the true destination, for what these moments are being allowed for within our lives.
The other day, I was talking with someone who had been through a very busy day and was feeling tired. This person was trying to figure out why he was so tired…and on top of it all…he had pretty much decided that because he was feeling rough at the time; that the next day just may not be a good day either. The thing I suggested to him; was to not judge his tomorrow, by what he was experiencing at the time…and you know what…he came to see that after a good nights rest…the next day was much better than what he had first thought it would be.
You know…we all face rough and difficult days…days that seem to dictate our thoughts and feelings, while attempting to point us in a direction that only wants to make us give up on life; but I have come to see one thing in Galatians 6:9, which reads… “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Think of it this way…you’re walking down a road…and all you seem to see is barren land and cloudy skies. Nothing seems good at the time…and you even wonder if the sun will shine again…or even if you will see and experience something different. Now…if you grow weary of these moments and give up; then what is going to come out of all of that? I would say that first of all, you will never go anywhere in life…only to remain caught within those dismal moments. Second… you will never come to experience the blessing that God longs to give you, out of these moments you’re walking through.
You know…I will never forget the road I once traveled down…many years ago. It was a road that was filled with ruts and only weeds remained along the wayside. The sky was cloudy and all I could see up ahead were the moments that I was already walking through. Many times, I wanted so badly to remain in the midst of that despair and give up; but through time, I came to see that thoughts such as these only prolonged the moments of affliction that I was facing at that time. Once I began to see this; that is when I allowed God to bring me back to my feet, so I could press on. As time passed…the sun began to peek through the clouds and the water from my tears began to allow beauty to spring forth, which led me to the blessing of serving God and encouraging others.
No matter what you may be facing right now…and no matter how long this path has stood before you, may I encourage you to not judge the future, by what you are walking through at this time…for you still have some road to walk down. God hasn’t given up on you; otherwise the road would have come to an end…and left you where you are. It’s just your surroundings that are attempting to convince you of no hope. The only way you are going to experience the blessing that God longs to give you; is to stop sitting in the road and press on. Yes…these times may be overwhelmingly difficult; but as God leads you to His best; He will give you the strength to make it…that is if you turn to Him and believe in Him, rather than what your circumstance is trying to convey to you.
As we close…my heart goes out to those of you who are truly suffering in this life…and why…because I have suffered too; but just as God led me to His best…He can do the same for you…and all you have to do is never give up…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God hasn’t given up on you! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
