Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! As you can see, I’m here earlier than what I normally am…and that is because I’m switching a few things around…to see if the day can go a little easier for me. Also, I thought that this would help others in different time zones; so they can read the writing earlier in the day. If anything changes, I will be sure to let you know; but as for now, I will be writing around this time…and I truly hope that this will work out for you, as I’m hoping that it will work out better for me too.
You know…there is one thing that I have truly learned through some hard and difficult times in my life…and that is to go beyond a circumstance, rather than stand face to face with it. I have found that when I choose to go beyond the circumstance and Satan’s attempts to bring me down; then the problem no longer stands before me, but rather it is now behind me.
I remember a time in my life, when it seemed as if I was becoming friends with my problems…as I would continually focus on what they were attempting to do to me. Every moment that I pursued the problem…only enhanced the problem, which made it that much harder to walk away from it.
Walking beyond a problem isn’t always easy to do; but I have found that when I go beyond the difficult moments in my day…to accomplish something that I didn’t think I could do; then I have truly walked beyond the problem…and instead of Satan bringing me down; I am now bringing him down…as his plan for that moment did not succeed, in the way he wanted it to.
This morning, as I was looking through some Bible verses; God led me to a powerful verse in James 4:7, which reads…“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
You know, I think that sometimes we are submitting ourselves to the problem, rather than God. We tend to become so wrapped up in what is happening at the time; that we unknowingly leave our first love…to make friends with a problem, whose only aim is to bring us further down.
I remember a time in my life, when I would actually fear evil, which to me is another one of Satan’s tactics; but over time, I came to see that I was reacting to the problem in the wrong way…as the problem began to control me through that fear.
If we have a desire to escape evil…and the works of Satan; then first, we must walk beyond the problem emotionally and spiritually; to continually seek God’s will for our lives. Like I said…I have truly come to see how dangerous it can be to cozy up to a problem; for this only keeps us distant from the One we truly need the most. We all face problems…and yes, we must deal with them; but at the same time, we should never make them our life.
One thing I can say without a doubt; is that I do pursue something greater than the problem…and it’s not always easy; but when I choose to do so; then I am not only gaining more strength spiritually, for other circumstances that I may face; but I am also bringing Satan down, rather than having the problem bring me down.
When I look back on almost 19 years of ministry work; God truly allows me to see, as to how far I have truly come in my life…and it was because I continually chose to walk beyond the things that were attempting to bring me down…to experience something greater than the problem.
You know…I remember a time, when I could count on two hands, as to how many writings God had given me. Now, if you were to ask me how many writings God has blessed my heart with; I could never begin to even answer that question. I guess what I’m trying to say; is that all those thousands of writings wouldn’t have happened, if I would have chosen to remain face to face with all the pain and deep heartache that I experienced in my life.
Today…maybe you are also facing a very difficult time in your life. Yes…we need to deal with these problems; but at the same time, we don’t have to keep our thoughts and hearts connected with them, when we can emotionally and spiritually walk beyond them. One thing I can say for sure…when we choose to go beyond the difficult times that are attempting to defeat us; then we will come to see how much stronger we can become, while putting the problem behind us…to a place where God can truly take hold of the need and work on our behalf.
I pray that you will have a very blessed day…and that you too, will come to see that we don’t have to suffer needlessly, by remaining face to face with the problem; but rather, we can find hope and a new strength, by walking beyond it…to experience something even greater than the problem.
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
