Good evening everyone and how was your day? It was another beautiful day of work...as the daybed I work on is right next to the window...so I was able to sit here and work, while enjoying everything outside. Praise God for this beautiful day He gave me!
You know...so many times we face a problem...and instead of turning to God, we tend to turn inwardly, to where the problem resides. Instead of waiting on God...to see what He may have for us around the corner...we find ourselves waiting to see what is going to happen around the corner, with this problem that is now standing before us. One thing I love about this verse in Psalm 130:5; is that God not only longs for us to wait on Him, during these troubled times; but to also use His word, to keep hope alive within us; so we are not tempted to remain deeply embedded with the problem. There was a time in my life, when I went through two hard years of pain...and deep heartache. At first, I just let the problems beat me up and take me to a place, where life was miserable and very discouraging; but then I began to slowly take God's word...and not only read it; but search the scriptures, for verses that pertained to what I was facing at the time. Before I knew it...I was using God's word as a survival manual...and from that time on; it was His word that kept me alive and helped me not to give into these problems that surrounded me at that time. Tonight, as I was reading this Bible verse from Psalm 130...I was thinking...what a perfect way to wait on God; then to read His word and let it be the hope we need, while we're waiting for Him to work. In this way...Satan will have to work just that much harder, to take us further down...for we will be covered with the armor of God's holy word...and it will be there to protect us from further problems. Also...as we thumb through the word of God, we will be able to find verses that can keep us strengthened, during those difficult times. You know...it's good to read God's word...in any way we want...whether it would be a chapter or a book at a time; but I have come to see that when we search the scriptures, for words that can truly help and sooth our hurting hearts and souls; then we discover words that not only become hope for us...but also words that keep us closely connected to God. Tonight, you may be in the waiting room...waiting for God to step out and give you the answers you so desperately need. May I encourage you to take hold of some good reading while you are there...reading from God's holy word; and as you read...let each word, sentence and verse become medicine to your hurting soul, until God enters the room and gives you the cure to your problem. As we close our time together this evening, I pray that you will find peace, while you wait on God...knowing that He is there for you...through prayer and His holy word. Have a great night...take care and sleep well...and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! Many...many blessings on your night! It's Always & Only Because of Him... Diane Comments are closed.
