Good evening everyone! I sure hope that your Wednesday was a good one! This morning, as I woke up early, to get around and do my grocery shopping...what a surprise I had, as there was snow on the ground. It was as if I had to open my eyes a little wider...to see if what I was looking at, was truly real. Have you ever seen trees with green leaves and a dusting of snow on them? Well...this is what I saw this morning. This year, it appears as if the cart is before the horse...as the saying goes...lol!
You know...in life, we all have a tendency to get the cart before the horse. Seems like we want to skip the part, where we wait on the Lord...to just partake of whatever He could give us at the time...to help us through whatever we may be facing.
One thing I have truly learned over the years; is that a relationship with God should not be one sided, as it shouldn't be that way in other relationships. In other words...we must not always be the one to talk...but we should also be the one who waits on God...to listen for that still small voice; that just might give us the answer we so desperately need.
I remember a time, when it seemed like I had been twisted up into a bad week. Nothing...I mean nothing was going right. I would go to God and ask Him for His help...but as I look back on these moments, I also ran back to the problem and picked up, from where I left off...with frustration and anxiety as my buddies.
Finally, I began to see that I wasn't giving God a chance to even help me. I was doing all the talking...but never quietly listening...and waiting for God to act, on what I had talked with Him about. After a short time, I went into my office...sat down and just sat there quietly...waiting for God to respond. It didn't happen in a minute or two; but rather an hour or so...and as I quietly sat there...His thoughts on the problem became mine, as that still small voice began to enter my spirit. Here I was frustrated...because I hadn't found the answer to my problem...but at the same time, I never gave God a chance.
You know...I truly believe that when we sit quietly in the presence of God...waiting on Him, rather than allowing the problem to make us anxious and frustrated; that is when His presence begins to enter these moments, as we wait on Him.
No matter what may be on your mind this evening...why not give it to God...and then sit there quietly...anticipating His presence to enter these difficult times in your life...and one thing I know; when He sees you waiting on Him...He will come and make a way...just as He did for me!
Have a great night of rest...and I pray that God's angels will surround you with a peace that can carry you through the difficult moments; that you may awaken, to the start of a brand new day!
Many...many blessings on your night!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
