Good Wednesday morning to you all! I truly hope and pray that your day is off to a good start! As you can see, I am earlier this morning...and why? Because I have to go grocery shopping today. I usually go about every 2-3 weeks, due to the condition of my legs...which really makes it seem like a mini vacation...lol! I'm sure that some of you wouldn't see it that way; but when you only get out of the house for a short time...then it truly makes it seem more special!
You know sometimes, I think that we as Christians feel that we should never go through any time of affliction...after all, we belong to Christ...and nothing should ever go wrong...right? Well...from my own experience as a Christian...times can seem much rougher than what I observe the unbeliever going through...and why? Because we are fighting the opposition (Satan) for our souls. As we long to draw closer and closer to Christ; Satan longs to separate us from His presence...and for good...which means that times of deep pain and heartache become the tactics used by evil, to accomplish this task. One piece of hope that we can draw from each day; is that even though these times may come...the Lord is there to deliver us from them all. Jesus never promised us a life free from pain and heartache; but He did make a promise to be there, during the difficult times. What I wonder sometimes; is why do we wait until the affliction is about to take us down for good...before we choose to cry out to God for help? Could it be that we are trying to remain tough on our own...or even act as if these moments don't exist, when they really do? You know...sometimes, the moments of affliction...brought on by evil, can make us feel as if the rope we once held to, has now become a thread that's about to break; but when we can hold tightly to the thought that the Lord will come running, as the cries of our hearts ring out to Him; then we can live with the hope that these moments won't cause us to fall deep, into a defeated moment of destruction. No matter what you may be facing today...and no matter how dark these moments may appear to be; just know that God's got you...and He will NEVER let you fall to destruction. We already know that many are the afflictions of the righteous...but we also know that the Lord will be there, to deliver us, from every single one of them...praise Him!! Today...I pray that you will be able to take your focus away from the severity of your problems; to focus on a God, who longs to help you through those problems. Cry out to Him today...for He's longing to help and sustain you through the difficult moments that may be standing before you right now! Have a nice day...and remember to hold tightly to God...and one thing I know...He will NEVER let go of you! Many blessings on your Wednesday...see ya this evening! It's Always & Only Because of Him... Diane Comments are closed.
