Good evening everyone! Well...another day is coming to an end...and I truly hope that it was a good one for you! Today was a good day for me...but busy, which is nothing unusual.
Tonight, I'm enjoying some beautiful birds outside my office window...and I'm loving it! The winter birds are now coming back...and what a surprise to see what I built for them...their own little bird house village. That was quite the project over the summer...but worth it all...especially when I see the birds already enjoying it.
This evening, as I was preparing to write you, I was listening to some music and thinking on some things. You know...nothing is for certain in this world and sometimes those uncertainties can bring about fear...a fear that can even attempt to debilitate us and keep us from life itself.
One thing God is reminding me of tonight; is that when we truly put our trust in Him...and allow our hearts to match up with His; then what can mere man...or another other thing do to defeat us?
I have truly come to see throughout my life that fear is a tactic that Satan attaches to moments of affliction...because he not only longs to afflict us; but to also keep us down and out of commission with God...and life.
I will never forget the first book signing I had. I was scared to death...as I had been house ridden for many years, due to my knee problems...along with a past of low self-esteem. I finally came to see that nothing could go wrong, if I would only trust the One, who had already brought me through so much.
As I went to the signing...I began to set things up and prepare to start the journey, of what God was already allowing within my life...and before I knew it...everything was falling into place...and that only happened because I chose to trust God, rather than what was standing before me at the time. Now it's been 17 years since that signing...and as I look back on that day; I truly can see how much God has done in my life...and even more, as to how far He has brought me.
We might as well realize that we will never be able to move ahead with God, if we are allowing fear and other negative thoughts and feelings to run the show. Sometimes that first step forward can be scary...just like it was for me; but as you walk in God's footsteps...by trusting Him, with every step you take; then each step will become easier.
As we close this day, my prayer for you; is that you won't allow these side effects in life, to keep you down; but that you will allow God to help you progress and pursue...what He can truly bless you with, through the uncertain moments of life.
Have a great night of rest...take care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow morning.
Many...many blessings on your night!
