Hello everyone...and a "Happy Friday" to you all! So how is your day going? Mine is off to a great start...and what a beautiful day the Lord hath made!
As I'm sitting here this morning, I'm thinking on how we can easily allow the difficult times in a day, to dictate the way before us. One thing I'm being reminded of through this Bible verse in I Peter 5:8; is to never allow ourselves to be caught up in these moments...because they will only make us look weak and vulnerable, in the eyes of evil.
One thing I have truly come to see; is that when we appear wounded and weak; then we also find ourselves to be easy prey...to even more problems. You know...it's bad enough that we experience moments of affliction...but to add to what we are already experiencing, just makes life even more overwhelming and out of control.
Today, we need to shake these thoughts and feelings from us and allow our thoughts to reconnect...heart to heart, with a God, who can keep us strong; so we don't give Satan a chance to continue on, from where he once left off.
I remember a time, when I was so sick of all I was going through in my life. It seemed like my plate was so full and overflowing...to the place where two things were happening. First, I was struggling to understand why this powerful God that lived within me, would allow so much to happen at one time...and second, I was just outright struggling to make it another moment. Finally...the bubble burst and I said... "Ok Lord...what's next?" One thing I can say to you right now...is never ask that question...because I did find out what was next...and it wasn't because God was angry at me; but rather, it was because Satan was listening in to my conversation with God. Once he saw that I was getting weaker and weaker...through my thoughts and words; that is when he stepped in and afflicted me once more.
You know...sometimes, we just don't realize how our words...thoughts and actions can draw evil into our lives. The more that Satan sees us, as though we are a weak animal...the more he seems to prey on that weakness; so like the verse says... "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
As we continue to walk through this day, I pray that God would take hold of our weaknesses and strengthen them; that we may no longer find ourselves to be an easy target, in the eyes of evil...AMEN!!
Have a nice Friday...take care and I will hope to be with you again this evening!
Many...many blessings on your day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
