Hello everyone...and a "Happy Saturday" to you all! I hope that your day is going well! As I've been sitting here this morning...I've been watching the squirrels chase each other around one of the trees in the backyard. You know...even though God has allowed me to endure a lot in my life, while serving Him in the midst of it all...He has also blessed me in so many ways...which a couple of them have been a soft daybed to sit on and a beautiful view out my window! Thank you Lord!
As we spend a few minutes together this morning, I would like to share two of my life verses with you, from 2 Corinthians 12:8-9, which reads..."Three times I pleaded with the LORD to take it away from me. 9)But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
So many times...I think that we become so drawn into all that is happening in our lives; that we completely miss out, on all the benefits that stem from these moments...like experiencing the hand of almighty God upon us. You know...even though these difficult moments we face, attempt to take us down to an extreme form of weakness...it's an extreme form of strength that enters these times and keeps us standing in the midst of it all...a strength that only comes from Jesus Christ.
This morning...as my husband and I were visiting in our living room, we were sharing some moments, when God had truly been there in our lives...and I was saying to him; that I know without a doubt...that it was the weaknesses in my life that truly nudged me in God's direction, which in turn, helped me to keep pressing on.
How many times, do we actually focus on the grace that can sustain us and walk us through these moments of weakness? Yes...the afflictions we face, can definitely seem overpowering at times; but that is when we should turn our heads away from the thoughts that are only meant to enhance, what has already taken place in our lives...that we may truly focus on a strength that can take us high and above these moments of weakness.
One thing I have truly come to see...through the relentless pain I face in my life; is that it hasn't destroyed me...or taken me completely out of life or away from God; but rather, I have come to see how I'm still standing...working and making it through it all...and this is what God is longing for us to focus on. It's not always easy...believe me, I know; but when we can see what God is doing through these difficult times; then we will always have a glimpse of hope to hold to.
Today, I may not feel the best...and the pain may be like a light switch...where it's on one moment and off the next; but I've decided to take my day and make it the very best, while walking in the footsteps of Jesus. I know that when I'm close to Him; then He will sustain me and make the way much easier. I hope that you will do the same...and that your Saturday will be one, where you can say that you truly experienced the sustaining power of Jesus Christ!
Have a great day...and many, many blessings on your day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
