Hello everyone…and a very “Happy Saturday” to you all! I truly pray that your day is off to a great start! It’s a little cloudy here…but the sunshine of God’s holy presence is shining brightly within my heart!
Just think…we are only days away from Christmas! Now that my baking and cooking for the weekend is done…today, Diane will be staying down off her foot…and just maybe I will have my husband join me today for a Christmas movie. We don’t have TV cable…but we do have some great and very inspirational Christmas DVD’s…and the TV just happens to be in my office, where I can sit on the daybed and relax…so I’m thinking that right about now…life couldn’t be any better!
Anyways…this morning, while visiting with Keith in the living room, I was mentioning to him that this has been one of the best Christmas’s for me! Everything has just fallen into place…and I have truly taken in this beautiful season…and why…because Jesus was a part of it too.
This morning, I was thinking on how the simplest things can mean more to a person, than anything else. Maybe Keith and I aren’t doing as much as others this Christmas…but I have truly come to take hold of the real meaning of Christmas, more than I ever have…and that means more to me than gifts and a Christmas tree.
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas…we tend to set out nativity scenes and other things that depict Christ’s birth, which are great…but from this moment on, we need to remember that Jesus left that manger…and continued on, to do His Father’s will…and from there, He died on a cross and rose again….and this is the hope that we live with…that Christ is alive and at work, in each of our lives.
As I was preparing to go to bed last night, I took some time and spent it with Jesus. One thing that came to my mind was how He is always there for us. We may go through difficult times…but He is alive and at work behind the scenes, to produce something even greater within our lives. In Philippians 1:6, we read…“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
As I sit here this morning, with a wrapped foot and a walker by my side…I may not understand why a situation can go beyond what it once was; but at the same time, when I read this verse in Philippians 1:6…I can live with a hope; that Jesus is alive in me…working to complete what He has begun. Even though Satan is the culprit, to these moments of affliction…Christ is alive and in the background…working to use these discouraging moments for something good…and that is the hope I’m living with today.
No matter what you may be facing within your own life…and no matter how life can seem right now; just know that God’s got you…and He will never let go…and once He has completed the work in you…for which He has allowed these moments into your life; that is when He WILL walk you out of these moments of despair…so NEVER give up!
Well…this morning, I am in a comfortable lounge gown…and now the plan of the day can go into action. I’ll tell you…I thank God, for giving me a couple days of rest before Christmas! Life may not always be easy…but He DOES make it easier…praise Him!
Have a great Saturday…take care and I will talk with you later!
Many, many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
