Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Saturday to you all! I sure hope that your day is off to a good start…I know mine is! As I look out the window this morning…I am experiencing the beauty of God’s presence all around me, as I look out onto a frosty morning…praise Him!
This morning…before coming to visit with you, I was reading an email from an old friend…and this person has been going through a lot in their life…especially recently. As I read the email…one thought crossed my mind…in fact, it’s really a question for us all to answer…and here is the question… “How many of us can say that we are willing to wait on the Lord and not get in a hurry, when it comes to a serious situation…or really anything in our lives.”
You know…one thing I have come to observe recently; is how people tend to be in a hurry. Sometimes, I think that people pray and then go off with the idea, as to what they think God is relaying to them, rather than what He truly is relaying to them.
In Psalm 27:14, we read… “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Have you thought that maybe God doesn’t always give us the answers we need right away; because He just may be using this time of waiting on Him, to strengthen us, for other similar moments that may arise in the future?
As I look back on my own life…the remedy or cure to a lifetime of brokenness didn’t come easy; but one thing I can say…because it wasn’t easy, I was able to learn much and become even more strengthened along the way, which I praise God for today.
One thing I can say to you right now…without a doubt; is that I definitely wouldn’t be where I am with God today, if everything would have happened in my time. God has a reason for everything…and especially for the moments that may seem long and drawn out to us. In fact, I have come to see how He takes the most distressing moments…to twist them around into some spectacular; that can truly help us in the days to come.
One day, I was looking back onto all the weakened moments of the past…and now I see…and even my husband sees a woman that handles life in a much easier way; then she did years back. I’m not saying that it’s easy…but I am saying that God has used these long and drawn out years of waiting on Him, to give me what I have today…and to make the load a lot lighter.
One thing I have truly come to see in my life is this…if we have to say, “I think” this is what God wants me to do; then we shouldn’t walk down that path…but if we can say… “I have no doubt” as to what God is longing for me to do; then we should continue to press on in that direction. I have found that it is better to wait on God and be patient…trusting Him all the way; rather than finding ourselves down some unknown path; that is only going to lead us further into needless suffering.
No matter what you may be facing…the moments of waiting on God may not be easy; but let me tell you this…they are worth waiting for!
Well…time to enjoy a day off…a time that God has made just for me! I truly pray that your day will be a very special one too! Take care and I will hope to see you later!
Have a great Saturday…and many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
