Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Saturday to you all! What a beautiful morning! To me, this is just a sign that my God is with me…praise Him!! As we walk through this brand new day that God has just made for each of us…may we truly seek His face, in all we do this day…that we may truly experience a powerful God at work within us…Amen!!
As you can clearly see…I have once more posted another one of my graphic quotes today…and as I was thinking on these words; I was also thinking back to the greatest battle in my life…one that I never thought I’d ever have to face…a time when the past life of sexual abuse and a dysfunctional past, had taken me literally down to nothing.
As I sat alone one day…in a shell of a body that had nothing more to give, I began to say to myself… “How are you ever going to be able to overcome this?” To me…this time in my life made me feel as if the biggest and greatest giant was now standing before me. Little did I know at the time; that there was One who could truly fight this battle for me; but what made it difficult for me to see this at the time; was not only on how great this battle seemed to be; but also, on how weak the battle had made me feel…too weak to fight.
As I began to get up and leave those hopeless moments behind; it was as if God had come to me…and was longing for me to know; that He would bring me through this very overwhelming and discouraging time in my life. The only problem for me at the time; was that I wasn’t convinced…because I had fallen into a trap, where all I seemed to be surrounded by, was a situation that seemed to only find it’s end, at that moment in time. In fact…I had myself so convinced that no one or any other thing could be great enough, to free me from those deep moments of despair. Many times, I tried to escape those painful moments…especially after failing to fight this battle alone…never realizing that all I had to do, was let God fight the battle for me, as He had first desired to do.
A Bible verse that can truly help us all to get back on track, during moments like these; is found in Deuteronomy 20:4…and we read… “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." It was words like these that helped me to turn away from the hopelessness I was feeling at the time. Once I let God be my mighty warrior…and give Him that chance He wanted, to fight on my behalf…this is when my mess became Satan’s mess. In other words…what Satan had plotted and planned to destroy me with, was now being pushed back in his face, by a God that truly showed Himself to be more powerful, than what I could have ever imagined. It was that day; that I truly came to see how God does stand on His promises to us.
You know…the problem I think we have, while facing any circumstance; is that we always feel the need to have control. In other words…we seem to have to hold tightly to our circumstances and always know what they are up to; but just as I quickly came to see…we just aren’t strong enough to manage or even fight these battles alone. In fact…we are really too weak in spirit, during these overwhelming times; so we need to reach out to someone who can stand before us and fight these battles…and the only One I have come to see, who is strong enough to fight these difficult battles for us…is Jesus Christ.
Maybe today, you are facing a battle that is making you feel as if you are standing before a giant mountain…and as you look up to it…you just know that there is no way around it or over it. May I encourage you today, to hand this battle over to the Lord…for I have come to experience firsthand; that He is truly strong enough, to crumble these mountainous circumstances and bring them down to the ground.
Today, I pray that we will stop starring into the face of a problem; that we are just too weak to fight alone…and that we will hand these moments over to God…and allow Him to become a mighty warrior within our lives. One thing I know…when we do this; we will come to truly see that these battles can be won…and that we can stand victorious through it all…AMEN!!
Well…it’s been another great time with you today! I pray that you will have a very special Saturday…and that you will experience God above everything else in your life! Take good care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
Many…many blessings on your Saturday!
