Hello everyone...and a very blessed Sunday to you! Well...we have now entered the month of September! Where does the time go? I guess for me, it goes with my work. I truly hope and pray that this day will become a very special day for you...and that you will feel the presence of God very near!
I will never forget the moment, when God first introduced this Bible verse to me, from Psalm 42:11. Those moments actually became a wake up call for me...for that was the first time, when I truly came to connect with God, rather than what was going on around me. These questions in Psalm 42:11, are actually saying...why do you allow the difficult moments to get you down, when I live within you. What a great way to turn our thinking around and find hope in God! Just think...as Christians, we have the most powerful being living within us...but yet we allow something weaker than God, to take over our hearts and minds. Why do we do this? Maybe it's time to slow down and come to grips, with who is really more powerful.
Ever since, I truly took hold of this verse...I find myself at times repeating this verse to myself, when I'm struggling with life. I say... "Diane, why are you disturbed...and why do you feel cast down...for there is no reason to feel this way because a powerful God lives within you.
You know...Satan not only afflicts us; but he uses whatever he can, to keep us down and out of commission with God...and a big part of that comes from getting us so caught up in the problem; that we tend to forget about this powerful God that lives within us.
Today, if you are feeling overwhelmed by life...and if you are feeling low...ask yourself as a Christian...why am I responding to my problem in this way, when a God who is much greater than my problem lives within me....and if you aren't a Christian; then turn to Him today...for He will be all you could ever want, during these difficult times.
As we continue to walk through this day, I pray that our minds and hearts will be open to God, rather than the trial that is attempting to bring us low! Have a very blessed Sunday...and I will hope to be with you this evening...God bless!
