Good evening everyone! I hope that your Saturday was a good one! For me, it was the very best...because I have been waiting for a good day, to go out under the tree...near my office and paint my birdhouses.
As some of you may remember...several weeks ago, my husband helped me...and even more...God gave me the strength, to build a small bench and two bird houses that would sit on the bench...out of some scrap wood that we had in our garage. Anyways...after ordering some craft paints for the project...they finally arrived and I was so excited to have a half a day off today...to do this project.
Several days ago...I was keeping a close eye out on the weather because I had seen several days of rain coming our way. After looking at the weather the other day...get this...we were to have rain on Friday and Sunday...but a mostly sunny sky on Saturday, with a temp of 82 degrees. I just knew that God had reserved that day...just for me to enjoy something very special to my heart.
As some of you know...the past few days have also been pretty rough with the pain...but I was still determined to enjoy my project. My husband put a padded lounger out under the tree, where I could sit comfortably...and we covered it and got all my supplies ready to go...and I would like to say that God gave me His very best! I even had a squirrel hanging upside down on the tree...watching me paint. What a great afternoon off!
One thing I've learned to do in my life, for the longest time; is to forget about my disability and live...no matter what. Recently, I was just telling my husband; that if I would have chosen to give into every little thing that is wrong with me; then none of these writings would happen...along with so much more God has used my life for. Yes...it's not always easy! In fact, I struggle a lot; but what comes out of these moments...creates memories that will live in my heart forever.
If we are ever going to press on...and run the race towards heaven; then we need to reach out to the things that lie before us. Sitting in a room and giving up, will never take us anywhere. In fact...those moments will only make life more miserable, than what is already is.
I don't know about you...but I'm going to keep running the race; because it's my aim in life, to meet Jesus and live in heaven, for all of eternity...and one thing I know...I will never get there, if I let these legs keep me from pressing on.
No matter what you may be facing this evening...just keep pressing on...and when you do; God will help you and give you the strength you need...and as you journey onward; you will come to praise God, for the things that you could have missed out on, if you wouldn't have chosen to move forward in life...Amen!!
I truly pray tonight that you will have a great night of rest...and that each new dawn, will give you the will and desire to keep pressing on!
Many blessings on your night!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
