Good evening everyone! I truly hope that your Sunday was a very nice one! I had the best rest, as it gently rained outside my window...for God was putting me asleep, in His own special way! I think sometimes; we tend to want to visualize life, in the way we feel it should be, rather than looking for the hidden blessings in the day...that come from God's heart to ours. I have truly come to see and experience a God of not only love...but of true care and compassion...what a God!
This morning, as I was preparing the scriptures for tonight's blog and tomorrow's writing, I came across this Bible verse in Psalm 63:7...and what beautiful words! Just think...we can find a reason to rejoice...even through the difficult times...just by knowing that God is there to help us and keep us safe, in the shadow of His loving wings.
You know...we have different days...some good and some bad...and those down and out days can carry us into the evening and make us feel alone, as if no one cares; but may I encourage you tonight, to not focus on what has taken place; but to get your mind on the things from above. In other words...instead of thinking on where your problem may be leading you...focus on the help that God can offer you, while facing those difficult times. I have found that when we get comfortable in bed...and picture ourselves sheltered under the safe and loving wings of God, while knowing that He is there to help us through those times; then we can leave the anxieties behind, to experience a peace like no other.
As you prepare to settle down and rest for the night...don't let the problem have control, by keeping you up all night; but rather, let God's almighty wings of love, be a soft comforter...to help and bring peace throughout the night. When we can truly let go of the day and do this; then while we are resting...God will give us the help we need, to overcome these difficult times in our lives.
Tonight, I pray that your night will be filled with a peace; that truly comes from the Prince of all Peace...a peace that can quiet your thoughts and hearts, as you rest in Him!
Have a great night and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow...and remember to step into the footprints of Jesus, as you rise in the morning; that He may walk you through the day...and throughout this new week ahead!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
