Hello everyone...and a "Happy Wednesday" to you all! What another great day the Lord hath made! I truly hope that your day is off to a great start...and that you will feel the closeness of God's presence all throughout the day!
How do we start the day? Is our thoughts either on what happened yesterday...or what is still yet to come? Isn't it amazing how a bunch of thoughts can pile up on top of each other...until they fall and create a heart full of worry. After a while, we become consumed with worry...and it even increases, as we add other negative thoughts...to the thoughts that are already swimming around in our minds.
I am just amazed, how words of encouragement...and even more...God's word, can free us from these moments of worry. I think that sometimes, we need to stop in our tracks and look for a word that can help and remove us from the thoughts that lead to worry.
Several weeks ago, I was getting ready to go to sleep. It had been a hard day...with a lot of thoughts left over from the day. I guess that Satan saw this as an opportunity, to enhance the moments that were already attempting to keep me awake; so before I knew it...I had not only been thinking on thoughts from the day...but also thoughts that lead me into the future too. Before I knew it...every worrisome thought began to overwhelm me and make me anxious, which in turn began to create a sleepless night. As I caught myself...and what was taking place within me; I called out to God and asked Him to surround me with His perfect peace...and even bring encouragement to my thoughts. Within a moments time...other thoughts began to overtake the ones that were working against me...and before I knew it...this troublesome storm was beginning to cease, as I began to drift off to sleep.
You know...God has used me so much in my life...to help and encourage others; that sometimes I forget that I need that encouragement too...and once I go directly to Him for help...He does have a way of bringing comfort to my heart and mind.
How many times are we going to be imprisoned within a prison cell of worry...before we realize that God can help and encourage us through the times that seem so overpowering in our lives. We must remember that worry is only going to make the situation much worse; but when we can replace worry with a prayer; then we will come to see how calm these troubled moments can be.
I pray that your day will be filled with the comforting presence of God...that He may be near, to help and encourage you, in a time of need!
Have a great Wednesday...and I will hope to be with you this evening!
Many blessings on your day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
