Good Saturday evening to you all! I truly hope that you have had a good day! Today was kind of a laid back day for me...as I only had a few things to do this morning...so I took the afternoon off...to slow down and relax.
You know...it seems like lately, there have been quite a few people who are hurting deeply...and even I can relate, as I have been in quite a bit of pain myself...so I thought I would let this Bible verse in Romans 15:13, be a prayer to all of us who are hurting this evening.
Isn't it good to know that this great big God of hope can take these difficult times and turn them around into moments of joy and peace? I have truly come to see that when God has taken a situation in my own life and has completely turned it around...that hope does begin to bubble up within me, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
One thing though...in order that we may receive the joy...peace and hope that God so freely offers us...first, we must trust Him. You know...it's so easy to say that we trust God; but can we say that we can let go of everything, except for Him...and know that life will be ok? So many times, we tend to cling to our problems like a security blanket, while we continually stay in touch with these moments, as a means of keeping ourselves from getting further hurt; but I have truly come to see that this is one of the worst things we can do; because while we are holding tightly to our problems...there seems to be more room for Satan to work, rather than God.
May I encourage you tonight, to make an exchange with God...your problems, for His peace, joy and hope? One thing I know for sure...when we are willing to do this; then trust no longer becomes a word; but a form of action that can truly walk us away from despair.
As we prepare to rest for the night...I pray that we all will be able to just let go of everything that is hurting us; that these needs may drift up into the heavens, where God is waiting to take hold of every need and help us...in the way that only He can do. Also...I pray that you will truly experience God's perfect peace...and the joy that can bring a light, into your moment of darkness. Have a good night of rest...take care and know that God is always watching over you! See you tomorrow!
Many...many blessings on your night!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
