Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your day is going well…and even more, I pray that we all will come to experience a strength that can take us beyond our own so-called strength; that we may truly be able to bypass all the moments that are attempting to take us down and away from Christ…Amen!!
Late last night, as I was preparing to go to sleep; God began to speak to me…and within minutes, I was turning the light on, to jot down some thoughts that would become todays writing. As I began to think on the thoughts that were now entering my mind, I came to see affliction and God’s strength through affliction in a different light. Just think… a trial becomes a form of weakness that attempts to take us down. What happens when that form of weakness meets up with a strength that comes from a strong God? Not only does that new strength take us above the weakness; but this new strength we gain through the affliction; is now added to what we once gained, through other past forms of weakness…which actually takes us up a step and makes us even less vulnerable to other forms of weakness.
As I was thinking deeply, on the words that were written throughout last night; God began to take me to a Bible verse in Isaiah 40:29, which says… “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” In other words…God not only strengthens us through times of weakness; but He keeps increasing that strength within us…each time we face some other form of weakness; which truly builds us up spiritually…that we may not be seen as weak prey before evil…which will also help to lessen the attacks.
We need to realize that Satan only attacks us because he has found some form of weakness to prey on. In other words…his strength is only strong enough to overtake us, when we are weak in spirit. Have you ever experienced a moment in your life that went from bad to worse…or a moment that never seemed to get better? Well…I’m sure that if you were to look back on those moments; then you probably would have noticed that you either allowed yourself to remain caught up in those moments…or maybe you may have even taken hold of that moment so much; that it kept drifting you away in its direction.
You know…the only way we are going to overcome weakness; is when we are willing to let God’s strength take us above that weakness…and how do we do that? We admit to ourselves what is keeping us weak; so God can move in and show us how to become stronger in that area of our lives. In other words…let God’s strength take you to a different realm…one that no longer portrays yourself as weak.
When we allow the wounds of the past…or even this present time to keep us stuck in weakness; that is when Satan is also going to take hold of these moments and use them even more against us. Maybe it’s not always easy to go up a step in life; but we do find that as we take that difficult step upward…we do become stronger than the weakness.
As we close, let us ask ourselves this question… “How can we fail with a perfect strength?” We need to remember that it’s our weaknesses that fail us; so why would we ever choose to not seek something better…something that could keep us lifted high above that weakness; where we could be less vulnerable to the ways of evil?
No matter what you may be facing right now…I can understand from experience, as to how difficult it can be, to admit that there could be a form or weakness in your life. Believe me when I say…moments such as these can tend to make a person feel like a failure; but I have come to truly see that when we remain in weakness; that is when we do experience failure. Why not let God strengthen these weaknesses in your life; that you may be set free from the clutches of evil and the control that Satan so longs to have over you…that God’s strength may truly lift you above the despair in your life...Amen!!
Have a great day…a great weekend…and may God truly bless you in every way!
