Hello everyone…and a “Happy Resurrection Day!” I truly hope and pray that you are well…and that you will find Jesus to be very real and alive within your life…Amen!! Today, I not only want to talk on a time when Jesus arose from the grave; but I also want to relate it to our everyday lives and the things we go through from time to time.
You know…I will never forget a moment in my life, when I had plummeted down to nothing. The hardest thing for me to understand at the time; was why Jesus would allow me to go so low in life…to the place where I felt as if I had lost everything…even life itself.
After going through a hospitalization and many months of counseling…my eyes began to open up to the truth, as to why He was allowing such emptiness within me…and it all began with a Bible verse in Galatians 2:20, which reads… “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
It was at this time in my life, when I truly began to see that Christ had allowed me to fall; so that He could rise up within me and we could be as one. In other words…the old and painful life of the past had to totally leave; so that He could rise up within the empty chambers of my heart…a heart that had just been emptied out, of a very painful past.
Oh how I praise God, for allowing His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for my sins; but even more…I praise Him; that He has not only risen triumphantly from the grave…but that He has risen up within me and given me a life brand new. I am not only free from sin; but praise God, I have been freed from a painful past…one that once attempted to have control over my life.
You know…the difficult moments of life can make us feel so empty within…especially these moments we’re facing right now. In fact…we can even feel at times, as though the path we once attempted to climb and overcome in life just brought us to our knees…but you know what…I know One, who will take hold of these empty moments and will rise up within us and will help us to overcome and be victorious…just as He did so many years ago.
One thing I have come to see over time; is that no matter how empty life can seem; there is One, who can fill every empty moment with Himself; but first, we must be willing to let go and make room for Him to rise up within us. If we could see that emptiness within, as an opportunity to gain so much more than what we ever had before; then hope would remain alive within us.
Today, we celebrate a resurrection of hope; but until we have reached that place in time, when we rise up and meet Jesus face to face; may I encourage you, to allow Jesus to rise up within you; that He may walk you through this troublesome life victoriously…a life that at times can seem so empty and hopeless. Are you willing to make room for Jesus? Have you opened up every chamber of the heart; that He may rise up within you and be everything you need…until that time comes, when you rise up to meet Him in the air?
My prayer for you today; is that you will truly come to see that the empty moments of life, can truly be made complete, by letting go and allowing Christ to rise up with you!
Have a very nice “Resurrection Day”…and may the God of peace be with you! Take care and I will see ya soon! God bless!
