Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Sunday to you all! What a beautiful day the Lord hath made! Just as I began to write you…the sun came through the darkened clouds and filled the whole back corner of the yard, with a beautiful light! Now how can we say that there isn’t a God?
You know…sometimes our lives can seem so darkened by circumstance; that it’s as if we will never see the light of day again. I know…because I have truly experienced moments such as these. In fact…I remember a time, when there was a deep and darkened battle raging within me…for a time had come in my life, when there just was NO hope. Satan seemed to be working overtime, as a means of tempting me to end my life…and now as I look back, I see why. I truly believe…without a doubt; that he was…and even continues to this day; to take me out of commission with God; but no matter how dark these battles have been; the light of God’s presence has always won out. Recently, I shared a Bible verse with you, from I Corinthians 10:13…and once more, I feel God leading me to share it with you once more, which reads… “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” These temptations that Satan uses, to distract us from God and even life itself, can be very overpowering. The light of hope can become so darkened; that the darkness that surrounds us only makes us feel even more hopeless. I remember a time in my life, when I was pretty much at rock bottom. I remember sitting alone one evening, with tears that seemed to never stop flowing. It seemed as if everything around me was dark and dingy…and I completely felt empty, except for the air I breathed. How I hated my life at that time…to the place, where I no longer wanted to live. As I sat there lifeless, with nothing more to give; God began to put songs in my thoughts…and these songs weren’t songs that I had heard before. As the words came out of my mouth…I felt as if God wanted me to listen closely to each word. Before I knew it…I began to see these songs as messages, from God’s heart to mine. Within a short time of singing these songs, I began to feel a sustaining power take hold of me…and from there, I continued to press on. To this day, if you were to ask me what the words to those songs were…I wouldn’t be able to tell you…and why…because as I look back on my life, I see those songs as something that was meant…just for that particular moment in time. One thing I love about this verse in I Corinthians 10:13; is the part that reads… “But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”…and that is exactly what He did for me that day…because as the temptation to end my life became so overwhelming; I truly believe that God gave me those songs, as though He was ministering directly from His heart to mine. So many times, we don’t experience the hand of God upon us, as I did; because we are standing strong and tough on our own. I believe that it was my humble tears that drew God to my side that day…for He saw a lady, who just couldn’t get through a tough time…and He came and made a way of escape. No matter what you may be facing right now…and no matter how tempting it may be, to want to give up…may I encourage you to pour your heart out before God…for He longs so much to make a way for you too! Well…I’ve enjoyed our visit; but it’s time for me to go and spend some time with God…have some lunch and lie down for a while. I truly hope and pray that your day will be filled with the loving presence of God! Take care & I will see you soon! Have a great Sunday & God bless! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
