Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! I hope that your day is off to a great start! This morning, I have a wrapped right foot and I’m back on the walker…but GOD IS GOOD!! Satan may be attempting to have his way with me…but one thing I know; is that when I praise God in the midst of it all; that these words of praise becomes the greatest weapon formed against evil…so I continue to praise my God…AMEN!!
As I sat here…in the very early hours of my morning, I was watching it snow outside my window. Even in the midst of life’s struggles, a happy heart came forth, as I began to praise God for this brand new day! Thoughts of a warm home…protected from the elements of the storm seem to be even more before my thoughts, than the struggles that once attempted to overtake my mind.
The beauty that stems from this storm has become a reminder this morning; that God can take a tragedy and make it into something spectacular and triumphant…that is if we are willing to go beyond the thoughts and feelings that can attempt to make us think otherwise.
I have truly come to see that when we are willing to look beyond the side effects of a storm…to see what God is revealing through the storm; then the moments of fear that once weighed heavily on our minds; is now being filled with thoughts of peace and praise, which can sustain us through the storm, while allowing God to have control over the storm…rather than experiencing the blunt of a storm, whose only aim is to have control over every thought and feeling.
In Philippians 2:13, we read…“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” You know…I can’t help but think that if we could only look beyond the dark moments of the storm; then this would help us to truly see the beauty of God’s hand at work within our lives. I know how easily we can find ourselves caught up in the storm; but I’ve also come to see that thoughts and feelings such as these are only going to enhance the storm and cause us to look for the worst, rather than what God can do through these trying times in our lives.
This morning, I may have a new friend by my side (walker)…and a foot that is struggling to walk; but one thing God revealed to me in the early hours of my morning; is that when we do look beyond these difficulties; then we are able to clearly see what God is about to bring forth from the storm…something beautiful that can truly draw us closer to Him…Amen!!
Well...my new found friend (walker) and I are about to attempt to make some soft peanut brittle and cookies. It may take me a while…but one thing I know without a doubt… “I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil. 4:13
I hope and pray that your Thursday will be a very special one! Take care and I will hope to be with you soon! Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
