Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! What another great day the Lord hath made! It may be cloudy and dreary outside today; but the sunshine of God’s presence is illuminating my heart…and I praise Him; that no matter what storm may arise…that storm cannot hold back the sunshine of God’s loving and powerful presence in my life! Amen!!
Last night…while getting around for my evening, I was still feeling the pain, from a foot that I’ve been trying to baby a little, these past couple of days. As I continued to press on and not let these moments take me down, a song came to my thoughts and heart, titled… “Does Jesus Care”…and a few of the lyrics go like this… “Oh yes He cares, I know He cares; His heart is touched with my grief. When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.”
You know…I just love it, when a song enters my thoughts out of the blue; because that is when I also know that God is relaying a message to me, from His heart to mine. One thing God showed me, as I kept singing the chorus to this song; is that He truly is there, for the times when we just can’t be there for ourselves.
Lately, I’ve been wanting to stay down off my legs as much as possible and let an injury in my right foot heal but it’s not always easy, due to my work…but you know what…even before finishing to get around last night, God saw my frustrated heart and He began to fill my thoughts with ideas that would allow me to rest even more this week. You know…I’ve lost so much in my life and I have to tell you…that life for me has never been easy. Everything that was once so dear to my heart is now gone and a thing of the past…that I may win Christ and serve Him, with all my heart.
Throughout this difficult life, there have been many times when I’ve questioned God, as to why this all just couldn’t come to an end; but yesterday, I came to understand one reason…and that was so I could see…that even though He hadn’t totally healed me, for reasons that He only holds within Himself…He is there, to step in and help me, when I need His help…which has allowed me to see how much more I need Him, rather than the things that I lost out on in life…praise Him!
In Psalm 55:22, we read… “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” As I look back to my yesterday, I remember a time, when I mentioned to God that I truly needed His help…and you know what…after casting my burden on Him…He came a running…to sustain and help me through the moments; that just seemed almost impossible to get through.
You know…sometimes, we just don’t understand the ways of God. I used to say to my husband…if I would have known at the very beginning; that God had planned for me to go through so much; then I probably would have gone somewhere and hid…but you know what…I’m sure that He would have found me…lol. Seriously though…we need to stop looking at our situations our way and seek God, as to why He is allowing these moments into our lives. When we can look beyond the problem and what it’s attempting to convey to us; that is when we truly come to see God’s plan unfold before our very eyes, which gives us hope…knowing that God cares and that He is in control…and that these moments will eventually lead us to something better…something He has planned just for us.
No matter what difficult time you may be walking through right now…give it to God and one thing I know…He will ALWAYS be there to care for you, until He walks you out of the storm…and into the sunlight of a brand new dawn…Amen!!
Well…I sure have enjoyed my time with you today! I pray that as we continue to walk together through this brand new day; that we will truly experience the loving care…that our Heavenly Father has for each of us…Amen!!
Have a great Thursday…take care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
