Hello everyone…I hope and pray that you are all doing well! Keith and I have just remained at home during this Coronavirus and are only going out once a month for food, which seems to be a good idea right now.
Just before writing you, I was sitting here…thinking on what God would have me to share with you today…and a quick reminder came to my thoughts; that can give us all hope right now and that is that no matter how bad life may seem; these are the times when God is at His very best.
At a time, when I was going through some of the most difficult moments of my life, I began to cling to a Bible verse in 2 Corinthians 12:9, which reads… “But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.”
Do you know that when life is at its very worst; that these are the moments when God’s power is seen the most? You know…it seems as though we have life backwards at times. Instead of seeing the weak circumstances, as an opportunity to experience the power of God in a greater way; we tend to get so caught up in the bad news of what is going on around us; that before we know it…we end up feeling that this will be the time, when we will experience the circumstance at its very worst, which ends up leading us down a path of no hope.
You know…if we could see these difficult times we’re experiencing, as an opportunity to experience the power of a great and mighty God; then I truly believe that this is when the weight of the problem would leave us; so that the power of Christ may rest upon us…to give us the sustaining peace that can truly help us to walk through what is ahead of us.
One thing I know for sure; is that when we have a settled feeling within the heart that God is all we need…during difficult times such as these; then no matter how grim life may appear to be…there will be a peace that truly can calm these troubled storms that surround us.
As we walk through this week, we may face some very tough moments…moments that we have never seen or experienced before; but if we could just remember that our God is bigger than what we are facing...and to just keep our thoughts in tune with that; then we will have the confidence that no matter how rough life may be at the time; that this is truly the greatest opportunity, to experience God at His very best.
No matter what may come your way…or no matter how grim life may appear to be right now; just know that Jesus loves you very much and that it’s during these moments of weakness; that we truly experience the strength and power of a God, who is much greater than what we are facing at this time.
Have a very blessed and safe day and may God’s presence shine down upon you…to give you a strength that can keep you standing strong, during these difficult times.
Have a great day…and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
