Hello everyone…and a very blessed and happy Tuesday to you! I truly hope that your day is off to a good start! This morning, I’ve just been sitting here for a while…with music flowing through my headset, while praising God.
You know…one thing I’ve come to see lately; is that our circumstances can easily block out the little blessings in our lives. For example…this morning, I’ve been praising God for the heat in my room…water to drink…and all the comforts that God has blessed me with; that I may serve Him, even thru moments of pain. How many times, do we find ourselves focusing on what is wrong; that we completely bypass the blessings that God has given us; that He might sustain us through it all?
While sitting here this morning; God was taking me back to a Bible verse; that was actually one of the two verses that brought me out of the deep despair that I was once in…and one of these verses is found in John 14:18…and we read… “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
So many times, our problems tend to make us feel isolated and alone. In fact…I remember a time in my life, when I felt lost at sea, with a darkened storm surrounding me. These times made me feel, as if everyone around me had abandoned me…and only the problem remained; but through time, my God did come to me…and ever since that day…He hasn’t abandoned me once. Even when the pain seems overwhelming…His presence has a way of stepping into the picture, while speaking…“peace be still.”
One thing I’ve come to see over time; is that Satan not only longs to afflict us; but he also longs to use that affliction, as a means of making us think that our God has abandoned us. I guess he’s thinking that if we can see our situation in this way; then we will walk away from God completely…to the place, where he can have full control.
No matter what you are facing today, may I encourage you to shift your thoughts away, from whatever is attempting to have control over your life; that you may truly be able to see what God is doing, to sustain you through it all. You know…sometimes, it only takes the little things in life, to help us to truly see that there is a God, who is comforting us and sustaining us through it all.
As you already know…my life isn’t an easy one; but one thing I can say; is that God always seems to make it easier to get through. When He hears me crying out in pain…I know that He is running in my direction; because it seems that within minutes…the pain is calming down.
We don’t always understand why God allows these moments in our lives; but I have come to see within my own life; that He has allowed these difficult times to remain; that He might work through them…to strengthen me and help others in need. Even though He is allowing the hard times to remain…He definitely is there for His daughter…to help and sustain her through it all…and like I said last night…a time will come, when all these painful moments, will have been worth it all.
Today, as you walk through your day…let God be there for you…to help and sustain you through an hour of need…no matter what it is…and one thing I know…HE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU!
Well…it’s time for me to get started with my day; but I pray that you will truly experience His loving and sustaining presence…no matter what you may face in your day! Take care and I will see you soon!
Have a nice Tuesday & God bless!
