Good morning everyone…and a happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I hope and pray that your day is off to a good start! As you can see, I’m a little earlier this morning…and that is because I need to go grocery shopping. Yep…I’m going to get out and brave the cold and snow…but praise God…I have Him to keep me lifted to my feet at all times!
You know…there can be moments, when we are so busy sizing up the situation that surrounds us; that we tend to forget as Christians…that there is a strong God, who can make all things possible in our lives. Now, if I was to look out the window and judge my day by what I see…and what I’m struggling through right now; then I’m sure that I either wouldn’t make it today…or the struggles would seem much more difficult; but when I attach God to what I see and what I’m experiencing at this time; then I KNOW without a doubt that I can make it through.
One of my many favorite Bibles verses; is found in Matthew 19:26…and we read…“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
I think that sometimes we are too busy looking at a situation through our own eyes, rather than through God’s eyes and what He longs for us to see and experience through Him. I have come to see that when I look at a situation through God’s eyes; then I am also seeing it with a heart of faith…a heart that reminds me that even though I may not be able to make it on my own…I can make it through Him.
How many times do we find our thoughts, in the way of His ideas? In other words…our negative thinking…or even the thinking of ourselves can become a road block; that can truly keep God out of the situation…and when God is blocked out of a situation; then we find that the struggles are much more difficult.
Today, I not only have to get out in the cold and go to the store; but I have a lot of walking to do, on two bad legs…but you know what…that’s ok…because I KNOW that God will be right there…making the load lighter and the way much easier.
How many times are we going to try and make life work for ourselves? Haven’t we learned through past failures…that we just can’t make it on our own? Sometimes, I think that we tend to feel that when we can’t make it on our own…then we are failures; but that’s not what I think. I think that when we admit to ourselves and God that we are struggling; then we truly become humble before Him, while these moments become a message from our hearts to His; that we truly need His help.
I would say about 12 years ago, I struggled with letting go of myself…because of the way I was brought up. When a person has expectations placed on them; then they tend to feel that they always have to live up to those standards; but as I slowly walked away from my past; that is when I came to see a God, who never expected anything out of me; but instead…longed to be my everything. Once I let go of myself and took hold of Him; that is when I truly found that life could be much easier.
No matter what you’re facing right now…and no matter how many struggles attempt to weigh you down…let go and let God be everything for you. Maybe we aren’t always strong enough, for these difficult times we face; but I know a God who will be everything…for everything we need! Let Him be the One…to turn the impossible moments of your life around, into something possible!
Well…I’ll soon be off to the store. I hope and pray that your day will be just as good, as what I’m expecting mine to be...and Lord, help us to not focus on the worst part of a situation; but to expect your best...thru what seems to be the very worst. Take good care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Have a great Tuesday & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
