Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Wednesday to you all! I truly pray that your day is off to a good start and that you will come to experience a God, who is greater than anything; that you may face in your day…Amen!!
How is it that we give into a hopeless moment, rather than truly believing in a God, who can do ALL things? Saying that we believe in what God can do is one thing…but to truly believe in the words we speak; is what ushers His very best, into moments that can seem so hopeless.
This morning, I was talking with someone on the phone, who had been facing some very hard times. As I listened to them speak…I gave them words of encouragement and reminded them; that this was the time, when they needed to turn to God in prayer…because He can do anything, with anything we face.
After getting off the phone, I began to pray for this person and ask God to step in and be what that person couldn’t be for themself…and as I finished; God led me to a Bible verse in Genesis 18:14, which says… “Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son." What a great verse, as this verse pertains to a time, when Sarah longed so much to give Isaac a son. Here she was in her old age and barren…and I’m sure that she was feeling very hopeless at the time…but later, the Lord came to visit Isaac and Sarah and he spoke to Isaac and said that Sarah would have a son; but as Sarah stood in the background, she began to laugh. I’m sure she was saying to herself…now how could that be at my age, while being barren…but you see, she was looking at the symptoms of this situation, rather than how the Lord could go way beyond the impossible…to make all things possible in her life. In fact…in another reading of the Bible…she tried to even make this situation work for her advantage on her own, by having Hagar…her handmaiden give birth for her; but later, she also experienced even more suffering through this situation, because she did everything on her own, rather than trusting the Lord.
You know…it’s so easy for all of us to become so caught up in a situation; that before we know it, we find ourselves believing in what is going on around us, rather than the distance God can take us…way beyond the problem. I would say that there have been several times at least…through the 18 years I have now served God; that I have heard people say… “Diane, I prayed…but this is wrong…so maybe I need to do this or that…and maybe that will help.” First of all, may I say that the prayer has already become powerless…because we can’t pray and give something to God and then go back and try something else. If we are going to trust God completely…then the problem needs to remain completely with Him.
Life is never easy…believe me…I know; but I have come to see that it can be easier…and how; by taking our eyes off of the problem…to trust God completely. Maybe we’re standing at a dead end street with the problem; but I KNOW a God, who can carve a brand new path but first, we must be willing to believe in what He can truly do within our lives.
As we continue to walk through this day, my prayer is that we will find the strength through God, to push our thoughts beyond the problem…to anticipate His very best; that we may truly come to see; that the God…that we love and serve; is truly a God of the impossible…AMEN!!
Well…time for me to start this beautiful brand new day that God has set before me. Remember one thing, as you press on throughout this day…don’t give up, just because the road has come to a sudden halt; but rather, seek and pursue with all your heart…and one thing I know; is that when God sees a heart that never gives up…He will meet you there and make a way…PRAISE HIM!
I truly pray that you will have a great day! Take care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
