Good evening everyone! I truly hope that you have been enjoying your Wednesday! It’s been a pretty good day for me…and on top of it, I have actually accomplished much more, than what I thought I would…and you know why…because last night before bed, I asked God to lay out His footprints, for me to walk in today…and I have actually felt His presence walking me through this day…PRAISE HIM!!
Lately, I have been trying to let go of schedules, so I can remain more in sync with God. When I was a young girl, I was taught that we needed to do this or that every week, which truly has placed me in some ruts over the years.
Anyways…I have been trying to listen for that still small voice within my spirit and let God fashion the day for me…and you know what…life has been much easier…because I used to do certain things every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday…of each week…and I not only got in a rut; but my legs weren’t handling it at all, which can cause a person, to want to give up.
A Bible verse that God is placing upon my heart right now; is found in Isaiah 30:21, which reads… “And if you leave God’s paths and go astray, you will hear a voice behind you say, “No, this is the way; walk here.” You know…first, we have to be in tune with God. In other words…we need to be more attentive to His voice within our spirits, rather than the things that can weigh our spirits down, to a place of no hope. Once we are open to God’s still small voice within us; then we will be able to live with the assurance that if we happen to go the wrong direction; then God will be there, to gently lead us back.
Second…we need to ask ourselves this question… “How many of us are attempting to fashion our lives…our own way?” Don’t we realize that when we try to create paths of our own choosing; that this is only going to keep us distant, from the true plan that God has for us…which in turn, only causes us to experience moments in our day that were never meant to be…moments that can actually make life much more difficult.
As I look back…to about a month ago, I see a person who was always exhausted…and could barely live up to the schedule that she had set before herself; but now…even through pain, I see a person who is at peace and truly enjoys each day…and even more…enjoys the closeness of her Heavenly Father.
You know…it’s so easy for us to get into ruts; that before we know it…those ruts make us feel, as if we are truly walking down a broken road. One thing I have come to see…these past few weeks; is that there can be peace, even in the midst of affliction…that is, if we are willing to follow after Christ, rather than ourselves.
Well…I have truly enjoyed this day with you…and now I pray that your night would be truly blessed by God…and that you would experience a perfect peace…that can only come from His loving presence.
Take care…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
Goodnight & God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
