Wednesday...March 11, 2020 | The True Source to ALL I Need

3/11/2020

Hello everyone…I truly hope and pray that your day is off to a great start with God! This morning, as I began my day…God led me to someone, who has been experiencing some hard and difficult times in their life. You know…for 18 years of my life, God has allowed me to be there for anyone who needs a friend and some encouragement…no matter how much I hurt myself; and I have found that when I put God first…and other people too; then He always seems to be there, to hold me up and sustain me through it all…praise Him!
Anyways…as I was talking with this person on the phone this morning; they were talking on how they needed more security in their life…like a home and more money. Immediately, I picked up on their words, while other words began to flood my heart and mind.
As we continued our talk, I was taken back to many times in my life, when I would think on how “things” could fill the emptiness within me and give me security. The only thing about that; is that when those “things” wore off or were gone; then I seemed to be back to square one.
One thing I was reminded of this morning, while talking with this person; is how we can make “things” our god. In other words…we need the god of money to keep us moving forward in life…or we need a home to make us feel secure…never realizing that we could lose the money and something could go wrong with the house. Just think…if that happened; then where would we be in life…especially since these other “things” were the little gods that we depended on? The one thing that I would like to say to you right now; is that these “things” that seem to represent stability and security in our lives, aren’t very dependable are they?
You know…one thing I’ve learned, through a hard and difficult life; is that when we depend on “things” to get through this life; then we also find ourselves more distant, from the true source of all “things”. In Philippians 4:19 we read… “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
You know…there are many in this world, who struggle to make ends meet. Maybe they lost a job…or maybe they have had a lot of medical expense…and are just barely making it. One thing I know for sure…it is God, who supplies our needs…and not necessarily through money; but through any source He chooses.
I remember a time, when I depended so much on money. I was constantly watching the checkbook…and actually hoarding money, as a means of security…but you know what happened; that money that I was holding tightly to, ended up being used on an unexpected emergency. Yes…I was thankful I had the money at the moment; but I truly did come to see; that the money wasn’t what God wanted me to lean on; but instead…He wanted me to depend on Him for everything in my life. As soon as I truly came to see this; I also began to see Him work and provide in ways that never required money.
One thing I was reminded of today, as I visited with this person; is that God truly is the source of all things…and how are we ever going to learn to trust Him completely, when we are placing our trust in other “things”?  I would say that within the past year or two…I have truly seen my God at work in my life…and why? Because I know of a God, who holds every source…to all things, within His mighty hands…and ever since I have chosen to make Him my everything…He has provided every little thing that I have ever needed.
Maybe today, you are one of those people who are struggling…and maybe you feel that if you had more money in the bank…or owned a home…a car and so much more; that you wouldn’t have to think on what you are going through right now. Believe me when I say; that these “things” do pass away with time; but I know a God who lives on forever, even into eternity…and once you choose to turn to your Father, as an innocent, humble and hurting child; that is truly when He will come and make a way.
As you walk through your day, I pray that you will let God be the complete source of everything in your day; that you may truly experience the love that your Father has for you…as His child.
Have a great day…take care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
