Hello everyone…and a very happy March 1st to you all! Well…winter is getting to be further behind us and springtime is just around the corner. You know…this is the hope that God gives us each day, while facing a trying time in our life; because with each day that passes…one more new day begins to take us one step closer to what is right around the corner. As we begin this time together, my prayer is that we will continually look and seek for what is up around the bend, rather than how we can fix what stands before us…Amen!!
Yesterday, as I was spending time with God, a question began to cross my mind, which is this… “How many times do we look for hope in our circumstances, rather than seeking hope in God?” You know…it can become so easy to instantaneously look for hope in the problem, while facing desperate times. In fact…lately, I have seen this taking place in this world around me. It seems as though we go by how we feel the problem can resolve itself, rather than truly knowing in our hearts that God is the only One who can resolve the problem; and oh…how we run to God during a desperate time of need…begging for His help; but what do we do next…we run back to the problem…only to think on how we can work with the problem to fix it. There is one thing that we need to start doing...and that is to seek a God who has control over the circumstance, rather than a circumstance that is attempting to have control over us. When we choose to go this route; that is what will actually become the key that can unlock us from these difficult times and free us. Also, there is one other important thing that we should remember…and that is to NEVER seek the circumstance for help; because the circumstance will never reach back and give us the help we need; but instead, it will only lead us deeper within itself. There was a time in my life, when I was literally taking the Bible apart, while seeking for the hope that I so desperately needed at the time…and one verse that God led me to was in Acts 17:27 and we read… ““His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.” Do we truly know what it means to seek God? Yes…it’s so easy to say… “I’m seeking God;” but as I have found within my own life; seeking God can feel as if we are crawling on our hands and knees, while feeling our way through the darkness of despair. I truly believe that when we choose to seek God for the answer to our needs; that this desire within our hearts will be so strong; that nothing else will matter. In other words, we will be willing to walk or crawl through anything; just to find God and the help He can truly offer us, even though He really isn’t that far from any one of us. These difficult times we face can seem long and enduring. The darkness that has overtaken our lives through a trying circumstance can make us feel as if we won’t see the light of day again…and believe me…we won’t, if we choose to keep following after the problem. What we need to do every day; is to seek God and follow after Him…and truly come to see that nothing or no one can have the answers to save us but Him. Yes…there are important people in this world…and maybe even a thought on how we could make it better; but God is the One who sits on this planet, with control stick in hand…ready to help us; but only if we choose to seek that help with all our hearts. Are you truly seeking God for your needs today; or are you asking Him for His help…only to run back to the problem and work with the problem on your own? One thing I can say without a doubt; is that running back to the problem only keeps us imprisoned within the problem. The only way that the heart can find peace and freedom from despair; is when we continually seek a God, whose answers can truly become the key that can unlock the heart and rid us of the moments that once attempted to have control over our lives. Have a very blessed day…and I will see ya soon! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
