Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Sunday to you all! As I’ve been sitting here in my office this morning…checking e-mails and listening to some music; God began to share some thoughts with my heart; that I would also like to share with your heart today.
You know…in this world we’re living in; we can feel as if evil is winning…just by what we see from day to day…and from there, we seem to find ourselves caught up in thoughts that attempt to convince us that God has abandoned us.
One thing that God has shared with my heart this morning; is that we need to continually remind ourselves that nothing or no one can supersede the awesome and magnificent power of God. Just because we see, what appears to be a win for Satan…doesn’t mean that he will win in the end.
Within my own life, I have seen and experienced moments in the past that have made me feel as if I was going to plummet to total defeat; but now, as I look back on those times…I am reminded that God has a way of working through the hardships we experience…to bring about something even greater…just as He did for me.
This morning, as I’ve been looking through God’s word; He led me to a beautiful Bible verse in Genesis 50:20, which reads…“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
I think that sometimes, we have a habit of viewing life a certain way…one that just may not match up with God’s plan for our lives…or even for this world we live in…so when we don’t see life happening in the way we first thought; then all kinds of thoughts begin to go through our minds, like… “Where is God?”…and “Why isn’t life happening in the way I thought it would?” I have truly come to see that thoughts such as these can be used by Satan to convince us that our God either doesn’t love us anymore…or that He has walked away and abandoned us.
Today, we need to realize that even though evil may be attempting to have its way with us or this world; that doesn’t mean that evil has won…or that God has abandoned us. Instead, it means that God has a plan…and we need to trust Him for that plan…one that will eventually defeat evil and bring glory to His almighty name.
No matter what you may be feeling or facing today, may I encourage you to not give up on God; but rather, try to see the situation through His eyes, rather than your own. I have continually come to see that when we follow through in this way; then we will be able to live with a hope…that our God is still working on our behalf.
Remember one thing, as we close this time together…Jesus wasn’t defeated at the cross…and He will never be defeated in our lives or in this world we live in. God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
