Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I’m so glad that you stopped by for a visit…and my prayer for you; is that you will ALWAYS know in your heart…that Jesus is ALWAYS there for you…Amen!!
So many times, we can feel as if no one truly understands what we are going through at the time. In fact, I have come to see how easy it is to speak the words “I understand,” without really understanding what the other person has been through. I remember several times, when a couple people I knew had faced knee surgery for the first time…and they would say to me… “Look Diane, I am just like you”…and the first thought that would come to my mind was this… “I don’t think so”…for I had been through a lifetime of dislocations and surgeries, which led me to a life of disability.
One thing I can say to you today; is that moments such as these…or even moments, when I watched other people glide through life, while I felt as if I was barely making it…definitely put me in a world of my own…and there were times when I heard “I understand;” but they just hadn’t faced what I had been facing my entire life.
As I’ve been sitting here this afternoon…spending some alone time with God; He began to remind me that when others just don’t always understand…or aren’t always true to us; then He will be the one that will remain and will always keep loving us…no matter what…for He has a heart that can understand our hurt because He has experienced firsthand…of what it’s like to go through moments of deep pain and heartache.
One thing I have truly come to see in my life; is that when others walk away and can’t handle what I may be experiencing at the time…there is a God who longs to draw even closer to me. In James 4:8, we read… “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
From past experiences, I have come to see that we can miss out on this perfect love…simply by seeking a love that doesn’t always remain true to us. In other words…this form of love we seek, only seems to come in words; but Jesus has truly shown what real love is…and it’s not a love that walks away; but rather, it’s a love that sticks around and remains even closer, during a time when we need that love the most.
When I grew up, I came to see and experience a love that came with no real feelings of love. In fact…I came to see that anger and abuse became an unreal love in my life; then later, as I grew up; there were many that walked out of my life, due to all the ongoing problems with my knees, which later made me feel like a piece of nothing, with no one to truly understand what I was going through in my life; that is, until Jesus came and began to demonstrate a real love to me. At first, I struggled to trust Him, after all I had been through; but when I saw a promise made…and a promise kept; He truly ended up becoming the dearest friend that I could ever have.
You know…it’s so easy to allow ourselves to plummet to nothing, due to the way we may have been treated in this life; but that is no reason to give up and feel as if no one could ever love us. The thing we really need to do; is begin anew and allow God’s word and prayer, to draw us closer to a perfect love…one that will truly understand and care for us in a real way…one that won’t walk away and hurt us…and one that we can truly trust…and the only love that I know that can be everything for us, when we need that love, care and compassion the most is Jesus Christ!
No matter what you may be facing today…and no matter how alone and unloved you may feel; please know that there is One whose love for you is greater than any other so-called love. In fact…this love will continue to remain faithful until the very end…and all you have to do is reach out to Jesus…and from experience…I guarantee 100% that He will reach back and become the closest and dearest friend you could ever have. Reach out to Him today…for His love is already reaching back to you…a love that will pick you up, from the hurt that brought you low...and a love that will always hold you closer than any other so-called love…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that Jesus loves you very much…for that is one of the reasons why He was willing to sacrifice His life for you! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
